Ms. Martinez
My name is Ms. Martinez, and I am proud to serve as the 6th Grade School Counselor. I am committed to supporting students as they navigate the exciting transition into middle school, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
My vision is for every 6th grade student to develop the social, emotional, and academic skills necessary to thrive in middle school and beyond, becoming compassionate, resilient, and responsible members of their community.
My mission is to provide a comprehensive counseling program that fosters social and emotional learning by teaching skills such as self-awareness, self-management, relationship building, responsible decision-making, and social awareness. Through collaboration with teachers, families, and the community, I strive to create a supportive environment where all students can succeed academically and personally.

7th Grade
Ms. Minor
Words cannot express how excited I am to be one of your school counselors at Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy. I have a wealth of experience in education. In the past, I have served as a career counselor for the Department of Labor at the Atlanta Job Corp Center for 5 years. I also served as a mental health social worker for CHRIS Homes, which is a group home for at risk children. I have taught students in grades 1st to 12th. I have also worked as an Early Intervention Teacher in Clayton County, Georgia, and I come to you with over 25 years of experience. I have had the privilege of being nominated for teacher of the year and counselor of the year.
My goal and my passion have always been to serve the community and guide our students to remain solution focused as they develop a growth mindset and move towards college and career readiness in this ever-changing world. Middle school is a milestone that every student must complete as they start their journey, and I am honored to be a part of this process. My goal as a counselor is always to inspire relationships and advise students as they continue their path toward academic achievement.

Ms. Price
Hi! I'm Ms. Price! I am so excited for the school year! I am very grateful to be able to focus on students' mental health. I love being the 8th grade counselor! I enjoy assisting students with the high school selection process and helping them learn effective communication skills. I believe middle school years are exploration years, so I will serve as a copilot in students' lives. As a copilot, I am here to assist students as they progress in life and relieve some pressure during challenging times.
I am a product of Dallas ISD. I attended Kramer Elementary, J. W Ray Learning Center, Spence Middle School & Skyline High School! I studied sociology and social work at the University of Texas at Austin and Counseling at SMU. I am also a first generation college graduate and the first in my family to obtain a master's degree. I would not have made it on my educational journey with resiliency, my support system, and an understanding of my mental health. I am very proud of the accomplishments of my journey. I am here to ensure students are too!
